Guillaume
Junior consultant, working for T&S since March 2019
What is your academic background?
After a scientific bachelor’s degree and a “Classe préparatoire” in PCSI (Physics, Chemistry and Engineering Sciences) in Pau, I did a DUT in Toulouse specialised in Computer and Industrial Electronics Engineering (from 2013 to 2015) to go back to my initial passion: computer science.
Then, I joined ENSI (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Limoges) to study mechanics, electronics and computer science with a specialization in “robotics”.
I had the chance to do an internship in New Zealand in the laboratory of the University of Auckland on UAV stabilization work. This allowed me to discover “on-board computing”.
After my studies, I did an internship in Limoges on the theme of connected devices with the aim of observing and monitoring the health of horses through sensors. Following this internship, I joined Technology & Strategy as a VIE in March 2019.
How did your working life at T&S begin?
From the day that I started working for T&S, my project was centred around the automotive sector in Germany. I crossed paths with an ex-classmate, who was my instructor at some point. It’s such a small world!
This is how I started working on the configuration and management of LABCAR (electrical cabinet that simulates a car). My role was to make sure that the LABCAR was working and to correct errors. I was 100% in a T&S team. There were 10 people on the project and 2 on my theme. I was first trained for 3 weeks and then I started to work on the project for 6 months. The German working method is relatively different from ours, German colleagues are very meticulous and consistent.
What do you like most about your job?
I like the international aspect, I work daily with Indians, Spanish, people with different cultures and working methods. It’s very enriching.
I also appreciate the working conditions where I am working. The premises are great and the colleagues are really nice!
